Playoff destinations became official Saturday for some of the area's high school football teams.
Beaufort High School (6-4), the third seed from Region 8-AAA, will be a third seed in the Class 3-A Lower State playoffs, playing at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Marlboro County. The winner of this game will face the winner of the game between Wilson (4) and Swansea (1).
In Class 2-A Division I, Ridgeland-Hardeeville (7-3) is the second-seeded team in the Lower State bracket and will host seventh-seeded Garrett (6-3). Should the Jaguars win, they would host the Wade Hampton-Loris winner.
In Class 2-A Division II, Whale Branch (6-4) is the third seed in the Lower State and hosts sixth-seeded Barnwell (6-4). Should the Warriors win, they would face the winner between Academic Magnet and second-seeded Timberland.
In SCISAA 2-A, Hilton Head Christian (7-3) hosts Orangeburg Prep (4-7) at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The winner advances to face either Florence Christian or St. Andrew's.
In SCISAA 1-A, Hilton Head Prep (8-2) draws Holly Hill Academy (6-4). That game would be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hilton Head Island High School.
The winner takes on either Dorchester Academy or Williamsburg.
