Jahmaal Nelson picked up his first win as a head coach when Ridgeland-Hardeeville stopped New Hampstead (Ga.) 40-16 to even its record on the young season to 1-1.
Desjon Fraser scored twice on returns -- an interception and a kickoff -- and Gavin Bush had 107 yards rushing and a touchdown on a first-quarter reverse.
Malik Bostic had a short run for a touchdown to go with some "good tackles" on defense.
The biggest development, however, may have been Frank Fields' improvement under center in the Jaguars' triple-option offense.
"He made good decisions and ran for some good yards," Nelson said.
