Trailing at the half, Thomas Heyward shut out Palmetto Christian in the second half on the way to a 60-28 win.
The Rebels trailed 28-16 late in the second quarter, when Bryan Lee Wade returned a kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown with six seconds remaining before the intermission to cut the deficit to 28-24.
The Rebels scored on the first possession of the second half to take the lead 31-28 and never looked back.

"We just kind of rolled from there," Rebels coach Nic Shuford said.
Ryan Day carried the load in the second half for the Rebels, finishing with 275 yards and five touchdowns on 30 carries.
In addiiton to his rally-sparking return, Wade had two interceptions on defense.
Quarterback JD Tuten, still limited by injury, carried the ball just twice, but completed 6 of 11 passes for 102 yards.
The Rebels (10-1, 3-1) will host Oakbrook Prep on Friday in the first round of the SCISAA Class 2-A playoffs.
