Bluffton remains No.2 in the latest Class 3A football rankings following last week’s Bridge Bowl triumph over Hilton Head Island, while the Seahawks continue to receive a few votes in Class 4A balloting.
The Bobcats (5-0) hold the No.2 spot for the third consecutive week, trailing only Dillon in voting by the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll’s 12-member panel. Bluffton is one of just three unbeaten teams left at the Class 3A level.
The Bobcats ended a three-year Bridge Bowl losing streak with Friday’s 25-22 triumph in a wild finish that went down to the game’s final snap.
Hilton Head (3-1) continued to be listed under the “also receiving votes” heading in the Class 4A voting. Cane Bay, a region rival under the new realignment, is ranked No.6.
No other area schools received votes in this week’s balloting.
