Hilton Head Island High School placed two boys players and two girls players on the Class 3-A All-State soccer teams as chosen by the S.C. High School Soccer Coaches Association.
For the boys, senior defender Miguel Ceron and junior midfielder Noa Pagataptan were selected. For the girls, senior midfielder Jamie Danzel and senior forward Rebecca Johnston were selected.
Ceron, who plays in the back, had five goals and an assist for the Seahawks, mostly off set pieces. Pagataptan tallied eight goals and seven assists.
"Noa is just the workhorse of the team, 'The Little Engine That Could,' " boys head coach Wayne Quinlan said. "Great kids as well. Miguel was chosen for the North/South All-star match and they both were captains."
Never miss a local story.
"(Johnston) has been a mainstay for four years," girls head coach Ernie Suozzi said. "She has played every position for me and has never complained about where she plays. Just a great kid and will be a big loss for us.
"Jamie Danzel has been a great center-mid for us, great attitude and very good senior leadership. She's been a little banged up this season but is working through it."
