Bluffton High School and the Bluffton Bobcats Football Club will host their seventh annual youth football camp on Saturday.
The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to noon, welcomes young players from kindergarten through 8th grade for a day of coaching in fundamentals and techniques at a variety of positions.
Bluffton coach Ken Cribb and his staff will be at the event, along with a host of current and former Bluffton standouts.
"We're excited about it," Cribb said. "We like doing our camp right before the season. I want to help the kids get ready for the season."
Cribb said future Bobcats will have the opportunity to be instructed by players such as star defensive end Shameik Blackshear, quarterback Alex Davis and long snapper Logan Velliquette, as well as many former Bobcats currently playing in college. Among those attending are Yerko Castedo (Limestone), C.J. Frazier (Newberry), Demetrius Smalls (South Carolina), Mike Grant (Johnson C. Smith) and Michael Sulka (Auburn).
Registration is at 7 a.m. Cost of attendance is $25 for the first child and $20 for each additional sibling.
