Hilton Head Prep 2, Beaufort Academy 1: Ryan Henderson scored in the 63rd minute, with an assist from Will Peterkin, and the Hilton Head Prep boys soccer team managed to pull out a 2-1 win over Beaufort Academy on Friday despite playing most of the game a man down.
Noah Sulek scored on a header five minutes into the game, with an Andrew Spencer assist, but the Dolphins found themselves at a disadvantage soon afterward.
Around the 15-minute mark, a red card was issued to a Hilton Head Prep player for a handball in the box, bringing an ejection. Beaufort Academy made the ensuing penalty kick to tie the game.

But the shorthanded Dolphins held on the rest of the way before Henderson's game-winner.
Robert Clark made nine saves in goal for Prep (5-4 overall, 3-0 region), which plays at Hilton Head Christian at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Bluffton 2, Ashley Ridge 1: Sage Cross' goal off a penalty kick lifted the Bobcats to the road win.
Pablo Rios scored in the first half for Bluffton, but the hosts rallied to tie the score with a goal early in the second half.
Bluffton goalkeeper Steven Dimaria made six saves as part of a defensive unit that coach Josh Fox said "really stepped up."
"They've been playing well all year," he said.
The Bobcats (8-0, 2-0 Region 8-AAAA) host Colleton County on Tuesday.
Hilton Head Prep 3, Northwood Academy 1: Charlotte Covington had two goals to propel the Dolphins.
Megan Frederick also scored for Hilton Head Prep, while Maren Czura and Foster Willey picked up assists.
Tory Henrichs and Marissa Wojcikiewicz, along with goalkeeper Kate Herman, led the Hilton Head Prep defensive effort.
The Dolphins (4-3, 1-1 SCISAA Region 3-AAA) next visit Hilton Head Christian on Tuesday.
Summerville 1, Beaufort High 0: The Eagles fell to the top-ranked Class 4-A squad in the state, as the hosts pushed across a run in the bottom of the first then held on.
Losing pitcher Jenny Mullins blanked Summerville the rest of the way after allowing the first runner to score.
Natalie Moore had two hits for the Eagles.
Beaufort High (6-5, 1-1 Region 8-AAAA) resumes region play Monday with a visit from Ashley Ridge.

Coastal Hurricanes 7, Hilton Head Prep 0: Daniel Collins pitched a complete-game shutout to lead the Coastal Home School team to victory.
Collins held Prep (8-2) to three hits, striking out eight.
Greg Warren started for the Dolphins, giving up no runs in 4 1/3 innings. He had four strikeouts and walked one.
Hilton Head Prep hosts Northwood Academy at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
