Battery Creek 12, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 0 (5 innings): DeAnthony Moore and two other pitchers combined to hold Ridgeland-Hardeeville to three hits, and the Battery Creek baseball team picked up a 12-0 win over the Jaguars on Wednesday.
Moore got the win, striking out three in three innings. Aaron Brantley and Timmy Harris finished up with one inning apiece.
Moore also went 2 for 3 with a double. Clyde Parker was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs for the Dolphins (3-4 overall, 1-0 Region 6-AA), who play a makeup game at 6 p.m. Thursday at Garrett Tech.

Hilton Head Island High 7, Wade Hampton 4: Mat Clark went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Seahawks to the win.
Brandon Johnson was 2 for 4 for Hilton Head High (3-1), which had four doubles among its nine hits.
Andrew Dill earned the win, pitching five innings to improve to 1-1. Troy Clifford got his first save of the year.
The Seahawks host Master Academy of Vero Beach (Fla.) at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Whale Branch: The Warriors won by forfeit over Wade Hampton. Whale Branch (3-1) hosts Allendale-Fairfax at 6 p.m. Thursday in a Region 5-A game.

Bluffton 4, North Augusta 2: Courtney Smith registered 13 strikeouts and held North Augusta to three hits as the Bobcats started their season with a win.
Jordyn Parker, Olivia Beine and Amber Klitzsch had two hits apiece, and Lilli Otten hit a game-winning two-run single in the top of the seventh for Bluffton.
The Bobcats (1-0) play Thomas Heyward Academy on Friday at USC Beaufort's field in Hardeeville.
Colleton County 11, Hilton Head Island 1: Caitlin Buckalew went 2 for 3 with a triple and the Seahawks’ lone RBI, while Hunter Walston, Olivia Workman and Kate Mangum each recorded singles for Hilton Head Island, which had just five hits.
Peyton Leitner was the losing pitcher for Hilton Head Island (0-3), which plays a doubleheader Monday at Whale Branch.
Beaufort Academy 9, Patrick Henry 1: Six different players scored for the Eagles, including Molly Harrop and Cali Blocker, who both scored their first goals of the season.
The Eagles (3-0 overall, 2-0 region) host Colleton Prep at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Lipscomb Academy (Tenn.) 3, Hilton Head Christian Academy 2, OT (Tuesday): The visitors from Nashville scored in the second overtime to pick up the win.
Both of Hilton Head Christian's goals were scored by Zach McCutchen. John Ross Moise assisted on both.
The Eagles' next game will be at 6 p.m. Thursday against First Baptist.
Bishop England 16, Hilton Head Island High 2: Katy Bautista scored two goals, but the Seahawks couldn't take down unbeaten Bishop England.
Shayra Valdez had 14 saves in goal, and backup Jordan Balay made two saves for the Seahawks (9-3), who host Bluffton at 6 p.m. Wednesday. That will be senior night for Hilton Head High.
