John Saullo had the goal in regulation for Battery Creek (2-0), scoring off an assist from Caleb Campbell. Tristen Saunders made eight saves for the Dolphins, who play at Bishop England on Thursday.
Chris Gonzalez scored in regulation for Ridgeland-Hardeeville. Marco Cisca made 12 saves in goal, and Hector Guerrero and Saul Cordoba scored in the shootout for the Jaguars.

Callie Haertel, Lindsey Gillis, Hannah Reynolds, Allison Meeder and Abigail Bensch each scored a goal for Hilton Head Christian, which hadn't defeated Porter-Gaud in two years.
Gillis, Audrey Bensch and Alyssa Lane had assists. Gillis led the charge on the outside, while Lane set the tone with her toughness

James Leonard was 3 for 4 with two RBIs, John Sheehan went 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBIs, Tyler Fox was 2 for 3 with two runs, and Greg Warren was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Porter-Gaud 2, Hilton Head Christian 1: Luke Higgs was the tough-luck loser in the pitching duel, with Porter-Gaud scoring both of its runs behind four singles in the bottom of the first.
Porter-Gaud errors allowed Hilton Head Christian to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
Higgs had the only hit for Hilton Head Christian, a third-inning double.
The Eagles (0-2, 0-1 SCISAA Region 3-AAA) next travel to First Baptist on Friday.

Hilton Head Christian finished with a team score of 311, followed by A.C. Flora at 315, Bishop England at 327 and South Effingham (Ga.) at 350.
Bryson Nimmer added a 78 for the Eagles, R.J. Bartolomucci shot a 79 and Matt Lehman carded an 83.

Hilton Head Island High 12, Ashley Hall 11: Abby Ogden scored six goals, and the Seahawks won yet another close game.
Katy Bautista and Tristyn Sheaffer added two goals apiece, and Carson Kendrick and Haley Matousek each scored once. Matousek played a major role in the victory, winning 20 draws to give her team ball control for much of the match.
