After Hilton Head Island High's 33-7 loss at Orangeburg-Wilkinson on Friday night, the Seahawks (7-1, 2-1 Region 8-AAA) have fallen out of the 3-A rankings in this week's S.C. Prep Media Football Poll.
Before last week's loss to the now-ninth-ranked Bruins (7-1, 2-1), the Seahawks were No. 7 after their best start since 1987. They are still receiving votes and are effectively 11th in the poll.
Beaufort High, which was receiving votes in the 4-A rankings last week, is not represented at all this week after a 17-0 loss at Summerville.
