Bluffton 6, Summerville 0; Bluffton 6, Summerville 0: The Bluffton High School girls tennis team completed a doubleheader sweep of Summerville on Tuesday, improving to 9-4 overall and 7-1 in Region 8-AAAA.
The second contest was the 300th tennis match -- counting boys and girls matches -- in Bluffton High School's nine years.
The Bobcats play again Thursday at Fort Dorchester.

Hilton Head Island High 5, Berkeley 1: The Seahawks clinched the Region 8-AAA title with a fairly easy win.
Hilton Head High -- now 7-0 in the region and 13-4 overall -- plays at Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Bluffton 2, Branchville 0; Bluffton 2, Colleton County 0: The Bobcats swept a tri-match at Colleton County, defeating Branchville, 25-20, 25-14, and the host team, 25-7, 25-13.
Bluffton improves to 31-13-2 overall and 8-0 in Region 8-AAAA.
The Bobcats got a tougher test from Class 1-A Branchville than they did from their region opponent.
"I thought we played well against them," Bluffton coach Al Stern said of Branchville. "We had a good match with them."
"I predict they'll go a long way in the playoffs."
Bluffton hosts a tri-match at 5:30 p.m. Thursday against Hilton Head High and Fort Dorchester.
JV: Bluffton 3, Colleton County 0
Middle school: St. Francis 2, Thomas Heyward Academy 0 (25-8, 25-20)
Hilton Head Christian Academy: The Eagles edged host Pinewood Prep and third-place Wilson Hall to win a three-team meet at Pine Forest Country Club.
Hilton Head Christian's Anna Lesmann Eddy shot an even-par 36 to claim medalist honors. Also for the Eagles, Jamie Hubbard shot a 44, Daria Fulton carded a 59 and Molly Lucci shot a 63.
The Eagles next play in Monday's SCISAA state championship meet at Pine Forest.
Region 8-AAAA Championships (Monday): Bluffton High School ran away with the Region 8 title by posting an even-par 288 team score Monday at Dataw Island's Morgan Creek Golf Course, beating second-place Ashley Ridge by 81 strokes.
Fort Dorchester placed third with a team score of 372, followed by Beaufort High at 480 and Summerville at 481.
The Bobcats' 18-hole score bested Bluffton's previous school record of 295, which was set during the team's 2011 state championship season (Class 3-A).
Bluffton was led by junior Kasidy Beckel's 5-under-par 67, which won her medalist honors. Seniors Kylie Nizolek, with a 70, and Brandi Hammonds at 71 were also under par. Eighth-grader Kathryn Thorne's 80 and Rachel Wohn's 83 rounded out the Bobcats' scoring. All five Bluffton golfers were named to the all-region team.
Beaufort's low score was turned in by Jordan Youngdahl with a 103.
Bluffton and Beaufort will compete in the Lower State championship on Monday, hoping to qualify for the Class 4-A state championships on Oct. 28-29 in Greer.
