Three former Hilton Head Preparatory School athletes will be enshrined in the school's Hall of Fame this afternoon.
Danny Nash and sisters Hadley and Cooper Puntereri will all be inducted today, bringing the school's Hall to a total of 33 former Dolphins.
Nash, a 2004 graduate, was a SCISAA state open doubles champion in 2001 and 2002 and was a state open singles finalist in 2003 and 2004. The six-time letterman also helped lead the Dolphins to a state title in 2002.
Hadley Puntereri's accomplishments covered both the hardwood and soccer field. In basketball, she was a two-time all-state player and a three-time all-region selection while guiding Hilton Head Prep to a state championship in 2000. On the soccer field, the six-time letterman earned a pair of region player of the year awards in 1999 and 2000 and was a member of the Dolphins' three consecutive state titles from 1996-98.
Never miss a local story.
Cooper Puntereri captured four straight defensive player of the year awards from 1999-2002 and was a three-time Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette All-Area honorable mention in basketball while winning a pair of state titles in 2000 and 2001. In soccer, she was named to three all-region teams and won two state championships in 1997 and 1998.
The trio will be added to the Hall of Fame in a ceremony at 5 p.m.
