It's not hard to tell Hilton Head Christian Academy has a home-course advantage after one round of the rain-shortened Golf Etc. High School Invitational.
The Eagles built a 10-stroke lead over South Aiken on Saturday at Golden Bear Golf Club. Scheduled for 36 holes, the rain limited play to 18 with one round remaining Sunday.
South Aiken's Ryan Carpenter is the individual leader with a 1-under-par 71. But the next three golfers are all from Hilton Head Christian.
Louisville-bound JD Lehman sits in second, a stroke back, at even-par 72. Jonathan Schuble is third at 74, while Bryson Nimmer is tied for fourth with Hilton Head Island's Brooks Moody at 75.
Hilton Head Island is fourth as a team, 21 shots back, while Beaufort High, led by Josh Fickes' 81, is eighth at 339.
