Hawk Invitational at Hanahan: The Bluffton High School wrestling team crowned a pair of individual champions and brought home the third-place trophy Saturday at Hanahan's Hawk Invitational, while Hilton Head Island High had a top-five finish behind Label Lewis' strong day.
Ashley Ridge won the 23-team tournament, with Socastee second, Bluffton third, Hanahan fourth and Hilton Head High fifth.
Bluffton's Levi Joly, at 113 pounds, and Mike Meyerink at 152 captured individual titles, both going 4-0 on the day. Joly won all of his matches with pins.

The Bobcats also had a pair of third-place finishers: Nick Stead (106) and Talon Seitz (132).
Lewis captured the 132-pound title and was selected the tournament's most outstanding wrestler after he defeated Hanahan's J.J. Johnson in the finals, 3-2. Johnson was the Class 3-A state champion at 120 pounds last season.
The Seahawks had two other finalists on the day, as Brock Massey (120) and J.C. Graham (195) both finished runner-up. Aaron Facenda (160) took third place.
Battery Creek had one individual champion, with DeAndre Johnson adding to his impressive season by winning the crown at 160 pounds.
Other standouts for the Dolphins included third-place finishes by Brian Labean at 132, Isaiah Sloan at 195 and Seth Priester at 220.
Bluffton hosts powerhouse Summerville at 7 p.m. Wednesday in a Region 8-AAAA match.
Hilton Head High hosts a tri-match Thursday against Orangeburg-Wilkinson and Stall.
Battery Creek returns to action with a home meet Wednesday.
US Military Duals at Lexington: Beaufort High School finished fourth, dropping a 34-31 decision to Eastside in the third-place match. The Eagles' only other loss on the day was to eventual team champion Lexington.
Beaufort High defeated Dutch Fork (36-24), Wando (33-28), Chapin (55-21) and Fort Dorchester (34-26).
Beaufort's Jake Sharp went undefeated on the day at 106 pounds. Michael Holmes (152), Forrest Kimbrell (160), Trey Arant (170), Clint Wright (220) and Tyler Wilson (285) each suffered only one loss during the tournament.
Hilton Head Christian Academy 48, Memorial Day 34: Macee Tamminen scored 13 points, Ziarre Doe had 11 and Monica Bundy finished with 10 to help the Eagles win in Savannah.
Audrey Bensch added seven points, and Andy Anderson, Francesca Guidobono and Kaley Van Eenenaam each had two. Hannah Reynolds scored one for the Eagles (8-6), who host Pinewood Prep on Tuesday.
Memorial Day 53, Hilton Head Christian Academy 35: Aaron Baker had 13 points to lead Memorial Day past the Eagles.
Brad Meccariello led Hilton Head Christian with 10 points, and Zach Polk added eight in the loss.
Hilton Head Christian (6-5) opens region play on Tuesday, hosting Pinewood Prep.
