Will Peterkin notched two goals and an assist for Hilton Head Prep, and Dylan Clark had one goal and assisted on another.
Goalkeeper Zen Wiggins made two saves for Hilton Head Prep before leaving with a head injury. Noah Sulek finished the game in net for the Dolphins.
Hilton Head Prep (5-2, 1-1) next visits St. Andrew's on Tuesday.
Hardeeville 2, Battery Creek 1: The Hurricanes -- ranked fifth in the state in Class 1-A -- improved to 6-1 overall with the non-region victory.
Manny Gonzalez scored the only goal in the Dolphins' home loss, with William Lopez picking up an assist.
Battery Creek goalkeeper Manuel Mejia stopped 11.
The Dolphins (5-2-1) next travel to Cane Bay on April 9.
Hilton Head Prep 1, Hilton Head Christian 0: Halie Parker scored from a tough angle late in the second half to help Hilton Head Prep defeat its island rivals.
"This was an extremely hard-fought game on both sides," Prep coach Chance Cook said.
The Eagles threatened to score several times down the stretch, but weren't able to draw even.
The Dolphins (5-2 overall, 3-2 SCISAA Region 3-AAA) play at St. Andrew's in Savannah at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Cane Bay 6, Hilton Head Island High 4 (9 innings): The Cobras took over first place in Region 7-AAA, scoring twice in the top of the ninth inning to oust the Seahawks in a cleanly played contest.
Zach Wimmer picked up the win for Cane Bay (11-4 overall, 6-2 region), which now has a half-game lead on the Seahawks.
Charles Lively had two of the six hits for Hilton Head High (8-3, 5-2). Mat Clark (3-2) took the loss.
The Seahawks have three region games left on their schedule, but won't play another league game again for a couple of weeks. They host a four-game series next week, Monday through Thursday, against Corbin, Ky. All games start at 7 p.m.
Ashley Ridge 5, Beaufort High 3: Ashley Ridge scored once in the fifth inning and again in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie and move into first place in Region 8-AAAA.
Carson Gregory, Tony Nolan and Stephen Baggett each had a hit and an RBI for Beaufort High (8-4 overall, 4-2 region). Alex Silon had a double.
Austin Livingston earned the win for Ashley Ridge, while Austin Willis-Greene took the loss for the Eagles.
Beaufort High plays in Bluffton's spring break tournament, taking on Summerville on Monday.
Hilton Head Christian 6, Thomas Heyward 5: The Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on down the stretch to defeat the Rebels.
JD Reichel was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Luke Higgs and Andrew Halley each had one hit and one RBI.
Higgs got the win, pitching three scoreless innings. Halley picked up the save, working 1 1-3 innings.
The Eagles (6-4) play again at home at 1 p.m. today.
Whale Branch 10-13, Estill 0-1: Jay Delaney had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs to power the Warriors to a win in the three-inning opener, and then he struck out eight as the winning pitcher in the second game, which only lasted four innings.
Danny Makowski got the win in the opener, and Dee Delaney had two doubles.
Darius Wright led the offense in the second game, with two hits and five RBIs. He also had a home run. Ty Fields had two hits with a triple for Whale Branch (6-4 overall, 6-3 region), which plays at 1 p.m. Monday in Bluffton's tournament.
Hilton Head Christian 5, Pinewood Prep 4 (Thursday): The Eagles won five of the six singles matches to improve to 5-1 on the season. Nick Bybel, coming off a championship in the SCISA Open earlier in the week, got it started with a straight-sets win at No. 1. Ben Likins remained undefeated with a win at No. 5 singles.
