St. Andrews 50, Thomas Heyward 42: The Rebels had a rough first quarter, falling behind 19-6, and despite playing well the rest of the way, were never able to recover.
"We had a bad first quarter and then played well for three quarters," Thomas Heyward coach Phillip Rhodes said. "We just couldn't overcome that first-quarter deficit."
The Rebels fought their way back, making it was a two-point game with less than a minute left. But Thomas Heyward was forced to foul and St. Andrews made its free throws,

J.D. Tuten led Thomas Heyward with 16 points, and Zack Newton added 10. Seniors Will Richardson and Ryan Day added six and five points, respectively, in their final game for the Rebels, who end the season at 7-12, 3-8 in SCISAA Region 1-AA.
Hilton Head Christian 62, Beaufort Academy 57: Hilton Head Christian shut down Beaufort Academy guard Preston Suber during the second half and closed the regular season with a victory on the road.
Suber scored 22 first-half points for Beaufort Academy, which led by 11 after the first two quarters. But he was held to six during the second half.
The Christian Academy boys started the third quarter on a 7-0 run and upped the defensive intensity. Kyle Weaver and Alex MacDonald each scored 16 points for Hilton Head Christian. Jack Griffith and Billy Dailey each had 10 points for Beaufort Academy.

Bible Baptist 66, Hilton Head Prep 54: The Dolphins' tough season ended in Savannah.
Charlie Wilmot led Hilton Head Prep with 14 points and five assists. Shaun Topper and Cole Gardocki each added 12, while Topper grabbed 13 rebounds.
Ten of the 11 players and all five starters return next season for the Dolphins (4-23). Entering the year, none of the current players had varsity experience.
"Our kids always played as well as they could play and played hard and they didn't quit," Hilton Head Prep head coach Bob Sulek said. "The kids didn't make excuses."

Hilton Head Prep 37, Bible Baptist 33: The Dolphins closed the season on a positive note on the road.
Gracie Anderson scored 12 points, collected six rebounds and blocked six shots. Abby Miles scored nine points and added eight rebounds. Halie Parker finished with eight points, seven rebounds and three assists. And Prep's Maggie Gasser piled up four points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Brooke Churchich also scored four points for the Dolphins.
Prep (8-16) will compete in the SCISAA girls basketball playoffs starting Friday.
Thomas Heyward 50, St Andrews 9: The Rebels completed an undefeated season by rolling at St. Andrews.
No starters played more than 12 minutes as Thomas Heyward finished the regular seasn 23-0. The Rebels will play The Byrnes School on Friday to open the SCISAA basketball playoffs, time and location to be determined when playoff matchups are announced today.
Jamie Malphrus led the Rebels with 15 points. Caitlyn Cooler contributed 12 points, while Ashlie Layman added eight.
