Battery Creek 61, Savannah Calvary Day 53: Justice Oliver had 23 points, freshman forward Devontae Wilson chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds, and the Dolphins notched a win to open play at the Christmas Classic in Savannah.
Senior Michael Robinson scored nine for Battery Creek, which erased a 26-23 halftime deficit.
The Dolphins (3-7) advanced to play an undetermined opponent at 4 p.m. today.

Ridgeland 69, Branchville 24: Sophomore Terrance Frazier led the Jaguars with 16 points, Anthony Polite added 12 and Torray Amlett finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Tyron Mikell had 13 rebounds and five assists, and Jeremiah Nelson scored six points for Ridgeland (3-2 overall, 2-0 Region 5-A), which plays at Bluffton tonight.
James Island Christian 56, Beaufort Academy 47: Michael Bible scored a career-high 20 points and had nine rebounds, but the Eagles fell.
Billy Dailey had 10 points and seven rebounds for Beaufort Academy (3-4), which played without leading scorer Preston Suber, who was sick.
Connor Akers added seven points, and Jordan Littleford had six points, 10 rebounds and three steals.
Griffin Reeder scored 17 points and J'quan Scott had 16 for James Island Christian.
Beaufort Academy is off until Jan. 3, when it faces First Baptist.

Whale Branch 71, Allendale-Fairfax 36: The Warriors went into their winter break on a high note, putting four scorers in double figures and recording 27 steals to blow out Allendale-Fairfax on the road.
Freshman Kemoni Jenkins led the way, scoring 17 points, making 11 steals and dishing out eight assists. Kenyada Moultrie added 15 points and seven steals, Shaniqua Johnson had 11 points and Sherrin Reed scored 10. S'nitra Mack had eight, Deborah Fields four and Takesha Wright two for Whale Branch (3-3 overall, 2-0 Region 5-A), which is off until Dec. 27, when the girls team hosts its four-team Warrior Classic. The Warriors will play Battery Creek in the first round.
