Hilton Head’s Alex Braden and Billy Christie, Battery Creek’s Ahman Small and Whale Branch’s Jamel Moultrie s won state wrestling championships Saturday at the Anderson Civic Center.
Braden, the Class 4A, 145-pound champ, defeated Beaufort’s Justin Campbell, 5-2, in the title match. Christie defeated Cane Bay’s Mason Brown to win the Class 4A 170-pound title.

Braden has committed to Coker while Christie will announce his choice in the spring.
Smalls beat Crescent’s CC Spires 11-8 in the championship match of the Class 3A, 195-pound class.
Moultrie pinned Andrew Jackson in the 3:20 mark for the championship in the Class 2A, 145-pound division.
Other second-places finishers were May River’s Ryan Humel, Battery Creek’s Khalil Chisholm, Beaufort’s Luis Pantoja and Marcus Spann. Hilton Head’s James Roberts was third.
