The sound of bagpipes will waft through Harbour Town, the cannon will boom and defending champion Brandt Snedeker will flinch as he strikes the ceremonial tee shot.
The RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing begins today.
And the 44th playing of South Carolina's only PGA Tour event will mix old traditions with the new sponsors -- RBC, which signed a five-year title sponsorship after last season's event was played without one, and Boeing, which signed on as a presenting sponsor.
Barring bad weather -- today's forecast calls for sun and 75 degree temperatures, with partly sunny skies and highs from the mid-60s to low-70s for the rest of the week -- a week full of activities is slated, in addition to tournament play Thursday through Sunday.
