Avery Singleton and Prashant Robinson set school records to provide the biggest highlights from a small group of USC Beaufort track and field athletes who traveled to Jacksonville, Fla., for the University of North Florida Invitational.
Competing on Friday, Singleton set a school record with a mark of 16.39 seconds in the 110-meter high hurdles, good for 21st place, and Robinson threw the discus 34.05 meters to set a new school mark and finish 12th.
Singleton was also 12th in the long jump (6.36 meters).
Tommy Reeves had USCB's highest finish, taking 11th in the men's 5K with a time of 15:53.34. John Critchlow (17:02.23) was 25th.
Anthony Vecchio (4:10.96) came in 30th in the men's 1,500, and Rashad White finished 13th in the men's discus (29.18 meters).
Katie Mock (19:50.46) and Selena Hutson (19:53.16) came in 32nd and 33rd in the women's 5K.
