Woodland 44, Bluffton 21
Running back Timmy Smith's two-point conversion gave Bluffton High School a 15-14 lead in the middle of the third quarter, but the Bobcats were unable to hold on, falling 44-21 at Woodland on Friday.
After a touchdown and two-point conversion gave Woodland a 22-15 lead, Bluffton fumbled the ball in its own territory, putting a halt to any potential comeback.
Smith and Zack Frazier each scored touchdowns in the second half for Bluffton.
Stephen Bradley caught a first-quarter touchdown pass from B.J. Kitty, who got the start for the third straight week. Ryan Combs did not play. Bradley's score was the only of the first half for Bluffton, which trailed 8-7 after two quarters.
