Three mixed doubles tennis teams from the area were among 10 to win state titles at the USTA South Carolina Mixed Doubles Championships that concluded Monday at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in Florence.
State champion teams will advance to the USTA Southern Mixed Doubles Sectional Championships, being held Oct. 11-13 in Mobile, Ala.

The team, which had no regular-season record, defeated a team from Charleston to advance.
The rest of the team consists of Marissa Chapin, Katrina Barnes, Fritz Gildemeister, Victor Ventura, Deanna Vroman, Paul Boone Rankin, Brian Burke and George Clonts.
The team, based out of the Tennisclub of the Lowcountry at Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton, won its league with a regular-season record of 8-0 and beat a team from Greenville to advance.
The other members of the team are Donna Bierschenk, Robert Mathal, Richard Pingree, Leigh Ann Pingree, David Meeder, Shelley Humes, Tom Cambron, Tisha Marie Chafer, Michael Elliott Upchurch and Julie Child.
The team, also based out of Tennisclub of the Lowcountry at Rose Hill, won its league with a regular-season record of 3-1.
The other team members are Michelle Clark, Julie Child, Jill Wilson, Patrick Child, Gavin Cox, Kristin Dalton, Donna Bierschenk, Matthew Wuller and Jan O'Neill.
This was the first year of the 40-and-over age division. Close to 100 teams participated in the state tournament.
