South Carolina will face Texas A&M in a Thursday night home game to open the 2014 season and debut the new SEC Network, the university announced Wednesday upon releasing it's 2014 schedule.
The bout with the Aggies will be the start of a three-game homestand the continues with East Carolina and then Georgia. The Gamecocks lead the East Carolina rivalry series 12-5. The Sept. 13 match-up with Georgia will continue a rivalry that dates to 1894, in which Georgia leads 48-17-2. South Carolina has won the last three games vs. the Bulldogs.
USC's first away game is Sept. 20 against SEC opponent Vanderbilt.
The schedule includes a first-ever matchup Nov. 22, Senior Day, when South Carolina hosts South Alabama for its final home game.
Finally, the most important game on the schedule for many fans is Nov. 29, when South Carolina visits Memorial Stadium to attempt a fifth-straight victory over Clemson.
