KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The South Carolina baseball team pounded out a season-high 17 hits Saturday, with all nine starters reaching base at least once, and the Gamecocks beat Tennessee for the second game in a row, 12-8.
South Carolina (25-7, 7-4 Southeastern Conference) led 8-0 after the first three innings.
Posting three-hit games for South Carolina were Connor Bright, Graham Saiko and Chase Vergason.
USC senior Adam Westmoreland came on in relief of starter Evan Beal to pick up the win. Westmoreland allowed one run on five hits in a season-high 6 innings.
