The volunteers and board of directors of Meals-on-Wheels Bluffton-Hilton Head would like to thank the Jacob Preston Studio in Bluffton for allowing us to be one of the recipients of its “Empty Bowl” fundraiser.
We will use these funds to help offset the expense of the meals and their preparations so we can continue to fulfill our primary mission of delivering meals to the elderly or disabled people of our community who are unable to prepare their own meals at home.
This year, we will deliver almost 25,000 meals to an average of 94 clients per day with a 100 percent volunteer driver base.
Never miss a local story.

American Legion Post 205 would like to thank all who were so instrumental in helping to make our Inaugural Veterans Day Parade in Bluffton such a success.
Thanks go out to: The Bluffton Township Fire District, Bluffton Police Department, Boy Scout Troop 212, the Cub Scouts, Classic Cars, Power House Gym (their sound system was a big hit), Bloom at Belfair, PHD, Foskey Heating & Air, the Bluffton High School Drill Team and St. Luke Missionary.
In addition, our special thanks to Mayor Lisa Sulka for riding in the Auxiliary float.
The beautiful floats were provided by Parade Floats by Allen of Ravenel.
