The recent article about the University of South Carolina Beaufort's plan to build a new facility on Hilton Head Island suggested the complex will include a separate $1 million building for the programs of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. That is not true at this time.
That building would be in a later construction phase.
USCB has generously offered the institute the use of a classroom at their future island campus. That will allow the two to work together to further a strong relationship and bring excellent educational programs for people over 50 to the south end of the island.
Currently, the institute provides classes in other locations around the county.
Never miss a local story.
