I read the original post regarding Beaufort Liquidation's announcement of adding wildlife to its flea market. I have nothing personal against this family nor the business, but I think anyone attempting to raise wildlife for any reason is acting selfishly.
The animals belong in an environment where they can thrive. There are many large-cat owners, and I feel certain the information speaks for itself with the number of attacks by these animals, but also the number that are neglected, abused or given up to sanctuaries when the pet owners can no longer care for them.
I am in no way indicating this family will do any of this, but the statistics are there.
Their natural tendency is aggression, and I can only imagine the expense involved in feeding a full-grown cat along with the veterinarian and insurance (liability) expense.
Never miss a local story.
Large cats prefer spacious outdoor cages, so housing it/them in a warehouse-type environment where they will not get the proper exercise or stimulation is concerning.
