I had to laugh at the recent column, "Will American voters finally say 'no' to congressional gridlock?" It was a nice fluff piece until the end, where it turned into an endorsement for Michelle Nunn, running for the Georgia Senate.
Those of us in Beaufort County are being bombarded by Georgia political ads since we're in that media market and cannot escape the onslaught. It's the best excuse for a DVR I've ever seen.
The writer makes an unwarranted conclusion that since one of Nunn's ads shows former President George H.W. Bush standing with his hand on her shoulder when she was CEO for his charity that she must be able to get along with Republicans and Democrats.
What a load of manure. Bush has told her campaign that his image is not to be used in any ads. She went ahead and did so anyway, which tells me a lot about her "virtuous" character. She's just another ethically challenged politician who will do anything to get elected.
