In response to the writer who was embarrassed because she felt that she hadn't spoken out to protest the Kroger's development, many of us did attend the town meetings and were allowed to speak. However, we residents felt that Town Council had already made up its mind, and it was a fait accompli before we even arrived. It will be interesting to see what happens at the public hearing at 9 a.m. Oct. 1.
We are outraged at the continuous falling of huge leafy trees. To replace them with stark palmetto trees is bringing a Florida strip mall to Hilton Head Island. Where is our Town Council?
