You have, in one corner, democracy, and in the other, capitalism. There’s no compromising. Capitalism’s diabolical, winner-take-all philosophy seeks domination. The very nature of democracy’s individual rights, solidarity, free speech, equality and justice makes capitalism its enemy.
By marginalizing voters’ rights, Republicans show cowardly fear of the people and their hatred of representative democracy. They attack workers’ legal rights and threaten free speech and rights to arbitration.
Russia’s government authorized a wide range of deregulation and privatization. Now, rich businessmen control Russia, pretending to have elections.
Republicans pursue deregulation with unbridled privatization. Legislators know when you deregulate or privatize, you surrender power and control to the uncontrolled rich and powerful.
