The news in Gaza is devastating with pictures of injured and dead children. At the same time, there is a humanitarian crisis on our southern border involving illegal immigrant children. There are cries for justice and compassion pouring in from around the world, demanding to save the children trapped in the middle of these crises. Hamas is launching rockets at Israel and Israel is firing rockets into Gaza to protect its people.
The media would have you believe that Israel is targeting the Palestinian children. It was Hamas terrorists who abducted three Israeli teenage "children" while walking home from school, took them back to Gaza and murdered them, which is what started this present conflict. Some would say that incident involved only three children when there have been 150 Palestinian children killed by Israeli rockets.
Now that we are all concerned for the world's children, where is the outrage for the unborn children worldwide who are murdered each day? Are we a culture that believes in protecting children and valuing of life? Where are our priorities? Is it all about perception? If we demonstrate care and concern for the children in Gaza and on the border, does that make us innocent of the evil we are committing by killing our own children while in their mothers' wombs? Where are the cameras? Where is the compassion? We are on the witness stand, and our judge will have the final word. Save the children.
