I read with great interest the recent front-page news about the continued development at the Promenade in Bluffton. I scanned the article twice looking for one word in particular â€" parking. Not only was this word not in the article, it is apparently absent in the minds of the developers and town administrators who have somehow overlooked the fact that there is barely enough parking in the area to handle the needs of the employees of these new businesses, let alone new customers. Every time I go to Cinemark Bluffton, I am stunned by the closed businesses that could not survive even after erecting signs declaring exclusive rights to spaces in front of their doors. The biggest question of all: Who builds a new business with no parking?
