A recent edition of the newspaper provided the icing on the cake.
South Carolina now has an Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate who is a convicted felon, who served 10 months for buying and supplying cocaine (yes, he can run but he can't vote), and who wants the government to end the war on drugs because it's " just mere users that get locked up."
Duh. Does anyone wonder who the "mere users" are? Might there be a personal agenda in his platform?
It's frightening that 17,000 registered voters signed the petition supporting Thomas Ravenel's run for Senate. Perhaps they applaud his stance on the drug wars, or perhaps they have a vested interest in making drugs legal.
