I'm tired of racism -- ditto on homophobia, the war on women and Democratic abridgment of free speech. I can do without racial or cultural blocs of voters who deliver 80 to 100 percent of their votes to people who look like themselves. Farther down the list of annoyances are the Hispanic and black caucuses residing in our legislative branch and most likely not representing anyone but the people who look like their members.
To continue in the negative vein, how about men who don't marry the mothers of their children; women who have children then marry the government; hospitals going broke because their emergency rooms are used as free primary care units; and young men and women dropping out of school and complaining about a lack of opportunity, blaming it on anything or anyone except themselves.
What really, really angers me is this giving away of money to able-bodied voters while our veterans wait for VA medical care and sometimes die as a result of the wait times. Like all good government bureaucracies, those in charge cover this up until caught.
Let's all say aloud, "What does it matter?" Vote!
Never miss a local story.
