The party holding the presidency normally runs for re-election on its accomplishments. Democrats realize they don't have any and were told not to mention the word "recovery" in their talking points. It's evident that after almost six years and expenditures of trillions, there isn't an economic recovery, with more than 20 million unemployed or underemployed.
Additionally, their foreign policy, Obamacare (which was passed by changing Senate rules) and the lack of an energy policy are a disaster. Consequently, they are a party with no accomplishments.
Their platform has become one of fear and pitting one group against another. When Senator Obama campaigned, he promised to unite our country, saying we are all Americans and that there is no blue or red state.
When he became president, that promise was easily broken. He has become one of our most divisive presidents as he pits poor against rich; black against white; unsuccessful against successful; women against Republicans; seniors against Republicans; students against Republicans, etc.
In an April 20 letter, a writer claims the U.S. Supreme Court is controlled by Republicans. To set the record straight, the court is composed of four liberals, four conservatives and Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, who votes with both factions.
Their latest decision regarding fundraising doesn't favor the Republicans, as there are labor unions as well as many billionaires such as George Soros and Tom Steyer who have spent millions to defeat Republicans.
