Have you ever gotten a truly empty feeling that goes right to your gut? That's the feeling that comes over me when my Democrat-voting acquaintances find nothing wrong with a president who threatens to rule by a phone and a pen. I know they are aware of the Constitution, have knowledge of the legislative branch, and are cognizant of the U.S. Supreme Court. I guess dealing with conservatives is too much to endure so they pick the pen and phone.
They have children and grandchildren, but it doesn't seem to cross their minds that rule by a man who is always backed by only those in his own party never works out very well for the vast majority of citizens, caught up in this travesty of a political system.
Being born before World War II, I find it rational to fear charismatic political leaders and one-party states. I'll be voting in the fall. I'm just too old for rule by pen and phone. Please vote, too.
