Here's my response to a recent column on how we can be better patients. I would advise all doctors to:
1. Be on time. Don't make me wait in a cold room with a paper robe on, the door closed and 4-year-old magazines!
2. Stop typing/looking at your computer screen. Look at me when you finally come in.
3. Take the time to make me feel comfortable enough to discuss what you call "hand-on-the-doorknob" embarrassing questions.
Never miss a local story.
4. I realize your office only succeeds if you have a high head count every day. I only ask that, while I'm there, you make me feel like my head counts
