The uber-hypocrisy of the Obama administration is off the chart.
This is the same man who, as a senator, said that President George W. Bush spent $4 trillion "all by his lonesome" and that was "irresponsible and unpatriotic."
After five years, Obama has added $7 trillion to our debt on the way to doubling the debt of the first 43 presidents. And what has all that spending accomplished?
The administration likes to say the economy is improving but the first order of business this year was to deal with the fifth "emergency" extension of long-term unemployment insurance.
This is the same man who as senator said that raising the debt ceiling was a sign of leadership failure. Now when the opposition pushes back, he accuses them of wanting the country to default on our debt.
This is the same man who, as senator, railed against the Bush/Cheney administration for tactics used in the war on terror and said that he would not put forward a false choice between our liberties and our security. Given his speech on NSA spying last week, maybe he should extend an apology to his predecessor.
And have you noticed that this president never flip-flops? After all, mere mortals and political hacks are flip-floppers. No, he always evolves in his thinking.
His hypocrisy, however, pales next the big lie that will haunt him forever. "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it, period."
