To believe that we need to build two new schools in the Bluffton area, one needs to look at the current schools already in place, with their overcrowding, old buses and iPads for each student.
My son attends Bluffton Middle School. He has no locker, the bus is overcrowded with no seat belts and no air-conditioning. The kids are sitting in each other's laps or four to a seat.
Why continue to run the school system the way it's being run now? As usual, Beaufort County is about a decade behind where it needs to be. Building now won't solve these issues.
And to think it won't cost taxpayers any more money is laughable. Building the new schools is but a fraction of the costs involved.
