The Historic Port Royal Foundation would like to express its appreciation to all the great people who helped facilitate this year's Fourth of July celebration at the Sands. Although the weather did not cooperate, you were still able to make a successful event.
Thanks to all the volunteers who worked in the foundation booths. We worked hard and got wet, but I believe everyone also had fun.
This is one of our biggest fundraisers, and this year was certainly successful. Everyone did a wonderful job, and it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to the vendors who provided great food, art, music and T-shirts. We hope the event was also good for you.
Thanks to the Port Royal Department of Public Works for its usual fantastic job in getting everything set up and taken down. They had a particularly big challenge keeping the tents fastened down due to the strong wind. They came early, stayed late and handled every need.
Thanks to the Port Royal Police Department for its effort, with support from the Beaufort Police Department and the U.S. Marine Corps Military Police. Also, thanks to the fire and emergency services personnel who supported the event. Working with you all could not be any easier. You did a wonderful job with the crowds.
And, last but not least, thanks to Town of Port Royal for allowing us to use this as our key fundraiser and for the fantastic fireworks (easily the best in the area).
Great teamwork makes things like this successful.
