On behalf of the volunteers, staff and the Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head board of directors, thanks to everyone who was instrumental in making Island Musicians JAM for VIM a huge success.
On behalf of the thousands of patients we serve annually, thank you to Tristan O'Grady for his support and for hosting the musical fundraiser at his wonderful establishment, The Big Bamboo at Coligny. Island musicians performing with heart and soul, organized by the incredible efforts of Bland Kiser, played from 5 p.m. until the wee hours, all to support free health care for the uninsured who live or work on Hilton Head and Daufuskie islands.
VIM founder Dr. Jack McConnell and his wife, Mary Ellen, were honored during the evening, and Dr. Jack jumped right in and performed his renowned tap routine to "Bill Bailey."
Special thanks also goes to Alice Kiser for facilitating a wonderful silent auction. All in all, it was a wonderful evening and a great example of how the local community can come together to support those in need.
Never miss a local story.
Thank you again to all the musicians and singers for your great contributions of time and talent on behalf of Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island: Bland Kiser, Bob Prust, Martin Lesch, John Wilkins, Kelly Logan Graham, John Ruxton, Tres Kiser, Craig Coyne, Jessie Watkins, Rob Lacombe, Al Cech, Joseph Vicars, Amy Christian, Angie Aparo, John Cranford and Cory Cunningham.
