Let's talk immigration laws. I am appalled that Canadians can't get a green card unless they are employed in the U.S.
Retired Canadians who own homes in the U.S., pay taxes, have assets, have health insurance and will never be on public assistance cannot become permanent residents. Yes, you read that right.
There are efforts to establish pathways for undocumented or rather "illegal" aliens to remain in the U.S. legally. Why is there no pathway to citizenship for folks who actually contribute to our economy rather than drain it? Where is the logic here?
