The lunatics are running the asylum in the great state of Arizona. (South Carolina soon to follow suit?)
Gov. Jan Brewer just signed a law that bans Arizona towns and municipalities from destroying guns and ammunition obtained in gun buy-back programs to take effect this July. The bill was introduced after the city of Tucson collected and destroyed more than 200 firearms earlier this year. It is now against the law for any town, city or county to destroy guns turned in by citizens who don't want them used to kill, maim or harm anyone else.
Talk about limiting government regulations and infringing on individual rights. It sounds eerily like these guns have souls that can't have their life force exorcised.
Isaiah 2:4 states: "... and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks." If individual citizens wish their guns destroyed and recycled into more life-affirming items, the government of Arizona has no right to prevent this. They certainly don't want these turned in weapons resold, as the new law requires. It's a personal choice between a man, his conscience and his gun. Brewer should have no part of this equation.
