Your recent editorial on teacher evaluation made some excellent points. Parents know who the weak teachers are. They don't need bureaucrats to point them out or standardized tests to tell them when their kids aren't being taught.
The problem is that if their child is stuck with a weak teacher, there's not a thing parents can do about it if they can't afford private school tuition.
So I urge you to join in the effort to enact taxpayer-funded private school choice for lower-income families. Condoleezza Rice called this "the civil rights issue of our age."
Let us empower parents by giving them the means to send their children elsewhere if they aren't being taught.
