Recently, I heard our U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham hold forth on a CNN show.
As usual, he was on a crusade against U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice in regard to the Benghazi, Libya, affair. On the same show he also underlined the importance of the Second Amendment and the opportunity it provided him to go hunting with his father when he was a young boy.
I have two questions for our honorable senator: Where were you when the weapons of mass destruction ploy got us into a war in Iraq in which thousands of our soldiers either died or were severely wounded to achieve a very uncertain result? The death of three Americans in Libya could not have been prevented by what someone says afterward on a TV show, but all those deaths in Iraq could have been avoided, but for the weapons of mass destruction saga. My second question is given the kinds of high-powered weapons and bullets out there, is it even fair to animals to use them for hunting? I wait for his answers.
