I have been a part-time resident here for the past three years and really love it.
The problem is that all I read about are raising the price of school lunches, teachers' wish lists, letting go of teachers, etc. I have no children, but enough with cutting education and what is needed to teach our students. No school or teacher should have to beg to get what they need. Lotteries were supposed to be there to help the schools and their needs.
In North Carolina, I asked to see where the lottery money goes. I got pages of salaries that you would not believe. I am sure it is the same way here in South Carolina.
Let's get a published report and find out why the school system has to beg for what is needed. (Thanks to the businesses that have come to the aid of schools.)
