On page 7A in the April 13 newspaper is an Associated Press story on the comments by Democratic consultant Hilary Rosen about Ann Romney.
The headline states, "Obama speaks in defense of Romney's wife." I think there is a real story here that is ignored by the AP, other reporting sources and The Island Packet. Rosen appeared for an interview on CNN. Where is the question to CNN as to who invited Rosen? Where is a background question of Rosen, who is simply described as a Democrat consultant?
Other reports on the Internet indicate that Rosen has visited the White House 35 times in the past three years and has met with President Barack Obama five times. Other information indicates that she was involved in having Sandra Fluke testify in front of Democratic committee members. Where is the question to CNN as to who developed the subject of the interview. Was it Rosen, CNN or possibly some Democratic source that developed the subject of Ann Romney for the interview?
Obama states, "It's not something I subscribe to." One has to wonder if the Rosen interview and subject were known ahead of time by the White House. And lastly, if a Packet front-page headline can call lottery participants "losers," then possibly a story about a personal attack on Ann Romney belongs on page 2 rather than buried deep in the newspaper.
Never miss a local story.
