Those of us who live in this paradise get frustrated with the amount of litter on the roadway.
In response to a recent letter, maybe it is time that some of the other communities, businesses and shopping areas (or Beaufort County) pitch in to help with the cleanup.
Moss Creek has had a team of volunteer residents regularly pick up trash. They walk on both sides of U.S. 278 for about two miles to the west. After last week’s pickup days, you saw five large orange bags of trash, which were collected in one morning, sitting along the side of the road for pickup by the county.
If the unappreciative motorists do not obey the law of “No Littering,” I can only hope that those of us who live here will do our part of disposing of our trash once we get home.
Never miss a local story.
