If ever there was a clear-cut case against government running health care, it is the current case in England.
A young boy has a disease that the hospital holding him can’t cure. The parents have had offers from the Children’s Hospital at the Vatican and more than one hospital in the United States to receive the boy and try to save him.
The hospital, dictated to by the government, will not allow the parents to take their son and try to save his life. The case has gone to another court.
This is government arrogance at its worst. I am 84 years old and am going for an aortic valve replacement soon. If I resided in England, I would probably be told that I am too old, and to just be quiet and die. It could be coming to your neighborhood hospital.
