Five women were taken into custody on prostitution charges during the weekend in Myrtle Beach following undercover operations by police, according to authorities.
On Friday, Amanda Nicole Wilson, 28, of Myrtle Beach was charged with first-offense prostitution after officers working in plain clothes saw her about 10 p.m. Friday walking south on Yaupon Drive at 11th Avenue South, according to a police report. The officer drove up next to her and she got into the vehicle without being invited.
The officer wrote in the report that Wilson offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for $40.
The reports about the other arrests were not immediately available at 10 a.m. Monday.
